Mission Statement
The mission of the Citizens Advisory Board is to serve the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) Board of Trustees, management, staff, users and general
public in a proactive role as the pulse of the community in the promotion and provision of high-quality transportation programs and services.
General Information
The purpose of the CAB is to:
- make recommendations to the Board of Trustees on matters, i.e., fare changes, Long Range Plan updates, and major or new projects. The CAB will
also provide comments on service changes.
- review, monitor and recommend service and program improvements or expansion projects to RTA, and
- strengthen community relations within the transit communities through the development and implementation of public relations campaigns,
programs and events.
2009 CAB Focus Areas:
- Ease of Use. The CAB will focus on ways to make RTA easy to use for all riders, including participating in implementation of transit
waiting environment projects.
- Safety and Security. The CAB will focus on ensuring that RTA is a safe and secure system.
- Advocacy and Partnerships. The CAB will focus on advocating and partnering with organizations to increase transit funding and promote
public transit use.
