Board of Trustees: Dennis M. Clough
Board Member

Dennis M. Clough is Mayor of the City of Westlake. An appointee of the Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers Association, he joined the RTA Board in 1999.

Mayor Clough has compiled an outstanding record of nearly 27 years of public service, including 23 as Mayor.

Since 1986, he has served as Mayor of Westlake. He has also served on Westlake City Council, Planning Commission, Recreation Commission and Board of Education. He became a CPA in 1984, and formerly worked as an internal revenue agent for the U.S. Treasury Department.

A graduate of St. Edward High School in Lakewood, he earned a degree in accounting from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas, and an MBA from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea. He has also attended the Leadership Academy Program at Cleveland State University, Leadership Ohio, Leadership Cleveland, and the Senior Executive Program at Harvard's JFK School of Government.

A Past President of the Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers Association, he is a member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the National League of Cities. He formerly served on the Board of the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), and is active in numerous volunteer and civic organizations.
