Public Square reopens to traffic later this month
CLEVELAND – Later this month, the Southeast Quadrant of Public Square and Lower Euclid Avenue are
scheduled to re-open to traffic.
Those areas were closed earlier this year because of construction crews working on the
Euclid Corridor Transportation Project.
When Public Square re-opens, all RTA bus routes will follow the Public Square routing that is shown inside their
current public timetable.
Two popular routes – the #6 and the
E-Line trolley – will return to Euclid Avenue, instead of operating on
Prospect Avenue.
Three bus routes will not change. The alignment they are currently following is their new regular route:
- #49F : Center Ridge Flyer
- #86F : Berea - Olmsted Falls
- #145 : York Flyer
Work on the Northeast Quadrant of Public Square will begin as soon as weather permits in 2007. Work on
the other quadrants will follow.
