Euclid Avenue Merchants Open for Business
Construction continues along Euclid Avenue, as RTA prepares Cleveland for the new Silver Line. It will be fully operational in
late 2008.
At the present time, life goes on for merchants along the Euclid Corridor. There are a number of fine eateries and outstanding
owners along the length of what once was, and again will be, Cleveland's premier urban boulevard.
Yes, Euclid Avenue is “Open for Business.” RTA urges you to patronize these merchants while construction is on
their doorstep. The merchants listed in the Navigational Guides to the right are served by many RTA bus lines, including the free E-Line trolley.
Merchants in the area include:
- Susy’s Soups, 138 Public Square, features homemade soup and chili, and fresh salads and wraps. Service is open from 7 a.m.-3
p.m. Monday-Friday. Call 216-771-7792.
- Sushi 86, 144 Public Square, offers food to go, and catering is available seven days a week. Service is open from 11 a.m.-6
p.m. Monday-Friday. “We deliver in the downtown area.” Call 216-621-8686.
- Near Playhouse Square, Johnnie’s Deli & Restaurant, 1840 Euclid Ave., offers breakfast and lunch specials, with reubens, corned
beef, soups and other items. Open 5 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. 216-241-1818.
- There is a lot to be said for longevity, and Brothers Printing offers more than 90 years of experience as general commercial
printers at 2000 Euclid Ave. Owners say their goal is to “turn your ideas into reality. If it’s legal, we print it.” The store
offers typesetting and layout services, as well as color, self-serve copying and promotional work. Copies start as low as 4.5 cents. Free parking
is available in a nearby indoor garage. Brothers Printing is open from 6 a.m.- 5:15 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. Call 216-621-
