CLEVELAND -- Because of an ODOT construction project, the East 79th Street Station, on the Red LIne at 2700 East 79th Street, will close from Monday-Friday, Aug. 8-12, 2016.
Riders of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) have two options.
- Walk to a nearby light-rail station at 2870 East 79th St.
- Board a 2 bus that serves both stations.
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is working on improving the bridge that goes over the RTA station. Crews are switching work areas, and need to shift access to the station to ensure safety.
The station will re-open as soon as the pedestrian route has been made safe for passage.
