CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) continues maintenance of light rail grade crossings this weekend with work at the Drexmore crossing on the Blue Line.

Because the grade crossing is under construction, it will be closed for the next three weekends. The closures are:

  • 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16, through the end of service on Sunday, Aug. 18.
  • 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 23, through the end of service on Sunday, Aug. 25.
  • 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30, through the end of service on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Each weekend, buses will replace Blue Line trains between Shaker Square and the Van Aken-Warrensville Station. Replacement buses will serve every station.

Regular Blue Line rail service will resume each Monday.

Replacement buses are always provided when trains are not in service. Buses will operate on a schedule close to that of the train. Customers should allow extra travel time to reach their destination. RTA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to customers.

RTA provides quality, economic and safe public transportation via rail, bus and Paratransit throughout Cuyahoga County. Real-time information is available for all buses and trains. Check www.riderta.com or call the RTAnswerline at 216-621-9500.
