News & Updates | Newsroom News & Updates: Newsroom Date: 6/8/00 MEDIA ADVISORY...Ceremony to kick off Community Circulator service on Cleveland's West SideCLEVELAND -- At 1 p.m. Friday, June 9, RTA officials and several Cleveland City Council will gather at the Gunning Recreation Center to kick off service for the new Kamm's-Puritas Community Circulator. The address is 16700 Puritas Ave. From downtown, drive south on I-71 and exit at W. 150th Street. Turn south (right) on West 150th Street, and turn west (right) on Puritas Avenue. The circulator, known as the #809 route, will serve Wards 20 and 21. Service begins Monday, June 12. All rides are free for the first two weeks. Officials will take the 18-passenger Community Circulator on a ride through the neighborhood. A number of local residents are expected to be present. Circulators will service each stop once every 20 minutes, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. On Saturday, the circulator runs every 30 minutes, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is no service on Sunday. Riders can board at any RTA bus stop, or they can flag down a bus anywhere along the route.
