Earlier, RTA made the decision to equip all new vehicles with a state-of-the-art camera system. RTA trolleys were the first vehicles to boast of that increased security when they rolled out last spring. Now, RTA has purchased 45 new 40-foot buses. They are now in service, and all are equipped with the
same kind of camera system. The buses are marked as the 2800 series (2801-2845; just look for the four-digit number over the front door, and on all
sides.) They are built by NABI, burn ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel, and, like all RTA buses, are equipped with bike ramps and are handicapped
accessible. RTA’s total fleet includes more than 650 buses. New coaches are purchased every year, and are kept
for at least 10 years. FOR
