Little Italy. The sweet life.

"La dolce vita" is a way of life in Italy. (It's also a popular restaurant in Little Italy.) Established in 1885, Little Italy is home to many Italian families and, naturally, revolves around the source of what makes life so sweet-food. So prepare your stomach for what promises to be a day of eating well.

Take it all in.

In the true Italian spirit, start at Presti's Bakery with a classic cup of coffee and some of the best baked goods around. For a quick history lesson, tour the Little Italy Historical Museum, where the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is recreated in a mosaic of photographs. Even more overwhelming is La Bella Vita, a boutique featuring three-dimensional murals that are ever-evolving. (You really have to see them for yourself.) Kick back with a light lunch in the beautiful, private garden at the Baricelli Inn. Then head to Corbo's Bakery, because every meal deserves dessert. Their cassata cake and tiramisu are so good you'd swear Italy was right in the kitchen.

Travel next to the Alta House, an activity center named for the daughter of famous Clevelander John D. Rockefeller. Make your way to the heart of Little Italy and visit Holy Rosary Catholic Church, host of two major annual events-the Feast of the Assumption and Taste of Little Italy. Speaking of tastes, isn't it time to eat again? Famous for their pizzas, Mama Santa's also features hearty Sicilian dishes in a casual, family-friendly environment. Guarino's, arguably the first Italian restaurant in Ohio, offers fine Italian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere (think lace tablecloths). Finish off the evening with a glass of fine Italian wine from Primo Vino.

Little Italy proves to be a primo experience, so take advantage of another One Pass Trip whenever you feel like living la dolce vita.
