Senior IDs

All riders paying a senior-discounted cash fare or using senior-discounted fare media to ride RTA must present either of two forms of ID when requested:

  • an RTA-issued Senior ID card
  • a state-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license, AND a Medicare ID card
Obtaining an RTA Senior ID card is easy. At any time beginning 30 days prior to your 65th birthday, just bring a state-issued photo ID and $3.00 cash or check (a fee that covers time and materials to produce the RTA ID) to RTA's Main Office, 1240 W 6 St, Cleveland, OH, 44113. Office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00am until 4:30pm. While you do not need an appointment, all requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
