CLEVELAND -- The calendar says Thursday, not Sunday, but RTA and the Browns are ready for another NFL victory.
The Browns host the Buffalo Bills at 8:25 p.m. Thursday, Oct 3, in a game broadcast on national TV.
The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will take fans to the game, AND host a tailgate party from 5-8 p.m. in the Municipal Parking Lot.
If you are heading to FirstEnergy Stadium, your first stop should be free parking at many Rapid stations. Then, buy an All-Day Pass for $5. The Stadium is served by RTA's Waterfront Line, which connects with all Rapid lines at Tower City.
How to ride the Rapid (trains) to see the Browns
- Park free at many of RTA’s Rapid stations.
- Red Line riders, buy a $5 All-Day Pass from a ticket vending machine inside the station. Keep it with you for the rest of the day. The pass is good until 3 a.m. Friday.
- Ride in comfort on any Red, Blue or Green line train into Tower City.
- From there, light-rail trains go directly to the Waterfront Line. Red Line customers can transfer to the Waterfront Line. Green and Blue Line riders, pay when you exit.
- Exit at the West Third Street Station, and walk across the street to FirstEnergy Stadium.
- After the game, rail service home is guaranteed for at least 90 minutes.
Riding the HealthLine
- HealhLine service operates 24/7 on Euclid Avenue, from East Cleveland to Public Square.
- Buy a $5 All-Day Pass from a ticket vending machine inside the station. Keep it with you for the rest of the day. The pass is good until 3 a.m. the next day.
- Board anywhere on the route.
- Hop off at Public Square. Walk to FirstEnergy Stadium, or enter Tower City and board the Waterfront Line.
- Exit at the West Third Street Station, and walk across the street to FirstEnergy Stadium.
Tailgate with RTA
Join the tailgate fun with RTA. Riders will be treated to entertainment, hot dogs and soft drinks at the South Harbor Station of the Waterfront Line. The event starts at 5 p. m. , about 3.5 hours before the 8:25 p.m. kickoff. Answer trivia questions and win prizes, as RTA teams up with Mark "Munch" Bishop and WKRN Radio, 850 AM, the radio home of the Cleveland Browns.
