Public art proposals due May 8, 2017, for East 34th St. Station

RTA is seeking proposals from qualified public artists for a public art installaton at the reconstructed East 34th Street Rapid Station, 2733 East 34th St.

CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking proposals from qualified public artists for a public art installaton at the reconstructed East 34th Street Rapid Station, 2733 East 34th St.

Deadline for questions is 5 p.m. May 5, 2017. Sealed proposals are due by 4 p.m. May 8, 2017. The project is known as CFA No. 1.

The Station

The project is designed to make the station ADA-compliant. The design is complete. Bidding will occur early in 2017. Construction is expected to last 18 months. It is served by all the Red Line, Blue Line and Green Line, and bus routes 15, 19 and 76. About 290 people board there daily.
