Airport Rapid Station
This station is conveniently located in the lower level of the terminal at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, below the levels for ticketing and baggage claim.
The Red Line Rapid offers direct access from this station to Tower City Downtown, and on into East Cleveland.
Public restrooms and elevators/escalators are available in the Airport.
Parking
RTA offers free parking at many Rapid stations, as well as free overnight parking at these stations:
- Red Line: Louis Stokes Station at Windermere, West 150-Puritas.
- Blue Line: Ashby, Avalon, Drexmore, Farnsleigh, Kenmore, Lynnfield, Onaway, Southington, South Woodland.
- Green Line: Green Road, Warrensville.
At each site, use the designated area for overnight parking, for a maximum of 5 days. Parking is intended for RTA customers only.
History
On Nov. 15, 1968, Cleveland became the first city in North America to connect an international airport to downtown with direct Rapid transit service.
