MANAGER OF SCHEDULES

GRADE 28

 

 

Duties:  Under the direction of the Director of Service Management, supervises personnel activities in the scheduling section to coordinate activities dealing with the development of schedules for passenger service. Reviews passenger data to determine adequacy and frequency of service needed. Evaluates service in terms of standards set by the Board of Trustees. Reviews and constructs schedules to insure optimal operator and fleet utilization. Prepares and monitors annual budgets. Performs related duties as may be required.

 

Minimum Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Associate’s or advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or related area is preferred. Applicants must have a minimum of eight (8) years of previous experience developing schedules which included trip building, setting running times, analyzing passenger data, and run cutting. Scheduling experience must include the utilization of computerized scheduling software, preferably Hastus or Trapeze. Applicants must demonstrate prior experience supervising others or managing complex projects which required directing other employees or contractors to achieve project goals.

 

STARTING SALARY RANGE:   $58,747 - $77,840 annually
