GCRTA in collaboration with the Cleveland Department of Public Health (CDPH) will provide free onsite COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots at Lee Memorial AME Church on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

The GCRTA Community Immunity Bus will be parked in the church parking lot at 861 E. 105th St., Cleveland, Ohio 44108, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. CDPH medical staff will provide the Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines to adults and children, ages 5 and up, at no charge while aboard the GCRTA Community Immunity Bus. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to receive the vaccine. Optional pre-registration is available at gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov or by calling 216-664-2222.

"The value of this partnership is health and human service and public transit bringing innovation and technology to you in collaboration of Connecting the Community,” said Natoya Walker Minor, Deputy General Manager of External Affairs and Administration. “We are excited to continue these joint ventures to make vaccination accessible to anyone who seeks it.”

“We are hopeful that residents in the community will take advantage of the opportunity to get vaccinated and boosted,” said CDPH Director Brian Kimball. “Our continued recovery rests with our adherence to proven public health strategies, including vaccination.”

The GCRTA Community Immunity Bus is made possible by ODOT funding in effort to make the COVID-19 vaccine accessible to multiple communities in the greater Cleveland area.
