April 18, 2015: Let RTA take you home after Induction Watch Party

Apr 17, 2015

CLEVELAND -- If the past is any indication, Saturday's induction ceremony for the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame will last well into the evening.

And when it's over, rest assured that trains operated by the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will be there to take you home. The actual ceremony is at Public Hall, with a Watch Party at the Hall of Fame.

Because there is no firm time for the ceremony -- and an expected Rock Star jam session -- to end, RTA is working with the Rock Hall staff to closely monitor the event.

Shortly after the music ends, an RTA Waterfront Line train will leave the South Harbor Station to bring people to Tower City. There, one Red Line train will be ready to take customers to the West Side.

Because of various construction projects, all weekend rail service east of Tower City will be served by 66R and 67R buses. There will be one bus each for the Red Line, the Blue Line and the Green Line.

So ride RTA to the ceremony, enjoy the evening, and ride home in style.

The details

After 8:30 p.m., Red Line trains on the West Side will operate every 15 minutes. The last scheduled train leaves Tower City at 12:44 a.m.

The Waterfront Line operates on a 30-minute frequency. The last scheduled train leaves the South Harbor Station at 10:50 p.m.
