CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) hosted its first Megabus trip to Chicago out of the Stephanie Tubbs Jones (STJ) Transit Center this morning.
Megabus will depart Cleveland from STJ for two months as part of a RTA Board-approved pilot program, which allows Megabus to lease space from RTA. This agreement was also approved by Cleveland State University and the City of Cleveland.
The location provides a great connection to other RTA services for Megabus customers.
Megabus tickets must be purchased online in advance. Customers of both RTA and Megabus can use the indoor facilities at STJ. There is no public parking. Megabus customers can be dropped off and picked up only.
The extension of this program will be evaluated at a later date.
RTA provides quality, economic and safe public transportation via rail, bus and Paratransit throughout Cuyahoga County. Real-time information is available for all buses and trains. Check www.riderta.com or call the RTAnswerline at 216-621-9500.
