Eighth RTA Staff Member Tests Positive
CLEVELAND, OH -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) has been notified that an additional staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is a bus operator stationed at the Triskett District. The employee’s last day at work was Friday, April 24, 2020. The employee called off on Saturday, April 25 with symptoms. The staff member was subsequently tested and found to be COVID-19 positive. Following our protocol, the vehicle last operated by the employee was cleaned and disinfected prior to returning to service. Additionally, other staff members who may have been in contact with the employee were notified.
As of Monday, May 4, RTA now has eight employees who have tested positive for the Coronavirus.
