The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is reporting that one employee has tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
The employee is a bus operator from the Hayden District who first became symptomatic September 18. The bus operator had been off duty since September 7 and became ill while away. The operator was not in contact with any RTA staff nor did the employee report to work during the time symptoms began or at any time while ill.
To date, 38 RTA employees have tested positive for COVID-19, and 35 have fully recovered and have returned to work.
