CLEVELAND – As fans get ready to cheer on the Cleveland Indians for what we all hope is the winning game of the World Series, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is preparing yet again to help take fans out to the ballgame tonight, as the Tribe hosts the Cubs in World Series Game 7.

“RTA has provided special service for 13 major sporting events in the last nine days, as our championship sports teams have advanced to victory,” said RTA CEO and General Manager Joe Calabrese.

“RTA service continues to be a key component of this championship city, as we cheer on our teams and rally together for a victory,” Calabrese said.

In fact, between the championship games of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Monsters, the Browns beginning their season, and the Indians advancing to the World Series, RTA has provided nearly 40 days of special service and extra staff.

For World Series Game 7, three-car trains will operate on the Red Line, and two-car trains will serve the Blue/Green Line, with 8-to-10 minute frequency before and after the game. Service will be extended to at least 60 minutes after the game ends.

The Waterfront Line operates until 7 p.m.

RTA staff will be available at RTA’s busiest stations to sell commemorative round-trip passes for $5 cash.
