CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) received the 2015 Best in Class Award for Workforce Diversity for a Large Nonprofit or Government agency from the Commission on Economic Inclusion, a program of Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) at its annual meeting Sept. 7.

RTA was honored for its commitment to making diversity and inclusion a priority in all aspects of the organization. This is the fifth time RTA received the award.

The GCP noted that RTA was honored as an exemplary model for other businesses and institutions to follow, for its achievements in workforce diversity.

“We are very proud of the culture at RTA that values diversity, because it makes us a better organization,” said George F. Dixon III, President, RTA Board of Trustees.

Joe Calabrese, RTA CEO and General Manager said, “RTA is honored to be among a distinguished group of businesses and government agencies whose diversity ultimately allows RTA to become a source of economic strength to the region.”
