RTA to unveil improved service at Feb. 15 public meeting

CLEVELAND – The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) has ordered 11 new low-floor, clean-fuel trolley vehicles to be used on two new routes starting this spring.

 

The new trolley routes and an adjustment to the #247 Outer Loop route will be discussed in two community meetings on Wednesday, Feb. 15.

 

The meetings will be held from noon-1 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. in the first-floor Board Room of RTA’s Main Office Building, 1240 W. Sixth St.

 

The site, served by the #147 Loop bus, is accessible to persons with disabilities.

 

• One trolley route will travel between the Warehouse District, Tower City, the Playhouse Square District and Cleveland State University.

 

• One trolley route will travel between Tower City and E.12^th St.-Lakeside Ave.

 

• The revised #247 will run on Euclid Ave., east of E. 21^st /22^nd St., and on Prospect Ave., between Public Square and E. 21^st / 22^nd St.
