All Riders - Service and Route Changes

Attention All Riders - Service and Route Changes

Effective Sunday, November 9, 2008, the following service and route changes will go into effect to help close the gap on a projected $20-million budget deficit in 2009.

Thanks to the efforts of Gov. Strickland and the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), these reductions will be much smaller than the ones presented at public hearings in August:

  • #3 Superior
    • All trips will serve Huron Hospital -- via Superior, Terrace, Belmore -- on the way to/from Windermere (see map).
    • Late night trips will operate to/from Windermere instead of ending at Superior-Lakeview.
  • #4 Wade Park
    • Late night short trips on E 123, Arlington, and E 125 will be discontinued. See #3 above.
  • #7 Monticello - Euclid Hts
    • Service will be discontinued on Anderson.
  • #9 Mayfield
    • Service will be discontinued on Ridgebury and on SOM Center.
  • #11 Quincy
    • #11 will be consolidated with #13 so that the #11 serves Buckeye instead of Shaker and MLK. Service will be discontinued on Buckeye between Woodland and Woodhill, on Shaker Blvd. between Woodhill and E 116, and on MLK between Shaker and E 116 (see map).
  • #13 Buckeye
    • #13 will be consolidated with #11 – see above.
  • #20A West 25 - State
    • A reduced number of peak period, peak direction trips will continue from/to North Royalton.
    • All other daytime trips will operate to/from Parmatown via Pleasant Valley and Ridge (current evening/weekend alignment).
  • #24 Van Aken / Tri-C
    • Service will operate from 6:00am - 10:30pm weekdays and 7:30am - 10:00pm Saturdays. There will be no Sunday/Holiday service.
  • #36 Eddy
    • Route will be discontinued. The #3 will provide service to the front door of Huron Hospital.
  • #39 Lakeshore
    • The branch to the Euclid Park-N-Ride via Babbitt will be discontinued.
  • #41 Warrensville
    • All trips traveling east of Southgate will follow the Columbus Road alignment. Service will be discontinued on Libby and Aurora between Northfield and Perkins.
    • Service on Kimberly, Randolph, Eldridge, and Ridgeway will be discontinued.
  • #42 Fairmount
    • Route will be discontinued.
  • #45 Ridge
    • The Y and R route branches will be consolidated south of the Parmatown Transit Center (see map).
    • Weekend #45 service on Ridge south of Parmatown (Day Drive) will be discontinued (#20A will serve Ridge between Day and Pleasant Valley).
    • Evening and weekend #45 trips will end at Tri-C West. Weekday, daytime #45 trips will operate to/from the North Royalton Loop and will pull into the Tri-C West campus.
  • #50 East 116/Harvard/West 117
    • Route will be extended north via W 117, Edgewater, Cove and Lake to end at the Gold Coast and Winton Place (see map).
  • #52 Westgate
    • All trips will operate via W 210 (#52 service will be discontinued on Wooster).
    • Route will operate to/from W 117-Madison Station instead of West Park Station. The bus will travel to the W 117 Station via Triskett (but not into Triskett Station), Berea, and W 117 (see map).
    • Late night service to Fairview Hospital, Brookpark Station and the Airport will be provided by a realigned #75.
  • #67X/AX Waterfront Line
    • Service will operate during weekday rush hours, on weekends between approximately 9:15 AM and 6:15 PM, and as needed to serve major events.
  • #70 Bunts - West 150
    • Service will be discontinued on Snow, Fry and Holland. All trips will operate via Smith Road between Snow and Holland.
  • #75 North Olmsted
    • Route will converted to a Red Line feeder route operating to/from West Park Station (see map).
    • Service will be discontinued on the Berkshire/Porter deviation.
    • #75 will provide the late night service to Fairview Hospital, Brookpark Station, and the Airport now provided by the #52.
  • #81 Tremont - Storer
    • The #81 will replace the #807 in service to Steelyard Commons (see map), from approximately 6:30am to 11:00pm weekdays and 8:00am to 10:45pm weekends.
  • #86 Warren - Berea
    • Service will be discontinued west of Sprague & Fair Park-N-Ride lot to Usher Road.
  • #86F Berea - Olmsted Falls
    • Route will be discontinued.
  • #87 Westwood
    • Route will be converted into a Red Line feeder route to/from West Park Station (see map). Not all portions of the current #87 route will be served.
  • #88 Broadway - Northfield
    • #88 service will be discontinued on Maple Hts. Blvd., Clement, Mapleboro, and South Blvd.
  • #96 Butternut
    • Route will be converted into a Red Line feeder route to/from Triskett Station (see map).
  • #135 Broadview - North Royalton
    • An additional trip will be added in the AM and in the PM.
  • #145 York Flyer
    • #145R will be discontinued.
    • #145Y will operate only in the peak period, in the peak direction and will be renamed #145.
    • #145 trips will follow the new #45 route alignment between Ridgewood and the Transit Center (see map).
    • Trips will not pull into the Tri-C West campus.
  • #802 Southeast Community Circulator
    • Service will be discontinued between Randall Mall and Southgate Transit Center.
  • #804 Lakewood Community Circulator
    • The short trips between W. 117th-Madison Station and Winton Place will be discontinued (replaced by #50)
    • Gold Coast routing will be simplified (see map):
      • Trips to/from Winton Place will operate via Edgewater in both directions.
      • Trips will continue to serve W. 115th in both directions between 10:00am and 6:00pm.
  • #806 Euclid Community Circulator
    • Trips on the Euclid Beach branch will operate only as far east as Shore Center.
  • #807 Tremont Community Circulator
    • #81 will serve Steelyard Commons instead of the #807. The evening short trips between Lakeview Terrace and Steelyard Commons will be discontinued.
