Brite Winter Festival. A celebration of art and music, co-sponsored by RTA, on the West Bank of the Flats.
March
St. Patrick's Day. Downtown Cleveland is party central for all things Irish. A massive parade usually begins at 1 p.m. on Superior Avenue. One of RTA's busiest ridership days of the year.
Cleveland International Film Festival. Based at Tower City Cinemas, downtown. Co-sponsored by RTA.
April
Cleveland Indians home opener, Progressive Field. RTA operates special rail service.
Earthfest, One of the oldest and largest events of its kind in the nation. Held at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.
May
Cleveland International Tattoo, Galleria at Erieview, 1301 East Ninth St.
Cleveland Asian Festival, 2800 Payne Ave.
Tremont Greek Fest, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 2187 W. 14th St. at Fairfield Avenue. Ride the 81 bus.
June
Parade the Circle and Circle Village, Wade Oval, University Circle. Ride the HealthLine to the station near Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Ave., and walk 0.6 miles.
Cleveland Wine Festival, Voinovich Bicentennial Park at North Coast Harbor, To reach the festival, ride the Waterfront Line to the North Coast Station and walk 0.4 miles.
Shaker Heights Arts and Music Festival. Ride the Blue Line to the Farnsleigh Road Station.
Cleveland Pride Parade downtown, with a festival to follow at Voinovich Bicentennial Park at North Coast Harbor. To reach the festival, ride the Waterfront Line to the North Coast Station and walk 0.4 miles.
July
July, 9 p.m., Star-Spangled Spectacular. Cleveland Orchestra, free concert, Public Square, followed by fireworks. Ride any Rapid line to the Tower City Station, or ride the HealthLine to Public Square..
July, Arts Festival, Cain Park, 14591 Superior Road, Cleveland Heights. Ride the 40 bus, and take a short walk.
July Taste of Tremont. Bus route 81 serves this area.
August
Noon-8 p.m., Street Festival, West 6th Street, Historic Warehouse District.
Feast of the Assumption, Little Italy.
September
Ingenuity Fest, behind FirstEnergy Stadium, on property owned by the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority. From Tower City, ride the Waterfront Line to the West 3rd Street Station, and walk a short distance.
