Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) delivers vital mobility solutions to this region. GCRTA is adapting, evolving, delivering essential services, and preparing for the future. As the largest public transit system in Ohio, we are committed to Connecting the Community in our service area of Cuyahoga County: to jobs, to medical appointments, to school, and to so many other important destinations.
Built around four equally strong commitments to customer experience, community value, financial sustainability, and employment engagement, GCRTA actively works to advance these core areas to maintain the Authority’s long-term health; adapt and change with time, technology, and customer needs; and plan and prepare for a bright, sustainable future.
We’ve expanded our corporate social responsibility to positively impact our employees, customers, and communities by decreasing pollution and emissions, treating all stakeholders fairly and equitably, collaborating and contributing to improve our community, and practicing sound and ethical financial and business operations procedures. Here are just a few of the key initiatives we’re working on:
- Rail car replacement
- Transit Oriented Development (TOD)
- Security and community policing
- Microtransit service extension
- Workforce development and hiring needs
- EngageRTA (community outreach)
Connecting the Community. GCRTA connects people to family, to one another, and to services we all need. We understand the significance of serving our customers to connect them to the most important events of their day. We connect employees to employers to earn a living wage and connect employers with the dedicated staff they rely on to keep their businesses thriving.
