CLEVELAND -- For the third time, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) received the honor ‘Best in Class’ for Senior Management Diversity, from the Commission on Economic Inclusion, a program of Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP).

RTA General Manager Joseph Calabrese accepted the award last night at GCP’s Annual Meeting. RTA won over other non-profit/government agencies.

“We are very proud of the culture at RTA that values diversity because it makes us a better organization,” said George F. Dixon III, President, RTA Board of Trustees.

Other winners in Senior Management Diversity are:

  • Large corporation -- Time Warner Cable, Northeast Ohio/Western Pennsylvania.
  • Middle market --  Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.

RTA was also recognized for achievements in the Overall Workforce Diversity category.

Finally, RTA was inducted into the Hall of Fame for winning ‘Best in Class’ three times in one category.
