Transit Authority (RTA) supports the local legal community, as lawyers mark the
first annual “David B. Webster Greener Way to Work Day” on Friday, Sept. 25. Members of the Green Initiative Committee of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association
(CMBA) urge everyone – especially those employed by law firms – to reduce their
carbon footprint by taking environmentally friendly transportation to work on Sept.
25. This includes public transit, car pooling or
bicycling, says Carter Strang,
chair of the Green Initiative Committee. He can be reached at 216-696-3956. He
urges persons to explore Web sites of RTA and
NOACA to find more details of
environmentally friendly transportation. Webster, a highly respected local attorney,
passed away earlier this year. He was a founder of the Clean Air Conservancy. On Friday, lawyers will also hold a luncheon
program downtown to honor his memory and recognize 10 law firms and offices that
are being certified as “green.” One of the offices
is the Legal Affairs Division of RTA. FOR MEDIA INQUIRIES ONLY:
