Fred Wilson, one of RTA’s Electronic Equipment Technicians, has been with RTA for 28 years, and for the past 14 years he has also been training young boxers in the Fairfax neighborhood.
I spent two days at Transit Police in-service training as part of their annual training days. Along with nine other officers attending this training, we learned basic tactical medicine and active threat response.
Here at RTA the pride we feel in our work is across the board, and that’s no exception for our Transit Police Department. RTA has its very own Color Guard/Honor Guard and they stand at the forefront of the department’s pride.
RTA’s Transit Police department handles calls for service and other emergencies just like every other police department in Ohio.

Leslie Rivers just celebrated her 19th anniversary here at RTA as a bus operator and has definitely made those years count! You can always find her with a smile on her face.
