This fall, we celebrate a truly remarkable milestone — 45 years of safe operating and 47 years of service from Paratransit Operator James “Jimmy” E. Smith.
Hunter, a former Transit Police K-9 for GCRTA, passed away in early January after a brief illness.
“He will be missed,” his handler, Sgt. Farr, said.

On Monday, January 12, Operator Semira was driving her Cleveland State Line bus westbound on Route 2 when she witnessed a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle was overturned and the driver was trapped inside with his arm extended out of the window.
The holiday season got a little brighter for one family this year after their autistic son was reported lost, disoriented and possibly on a GCRTA bus.
Track Upgrades at the station will allow riders to have a safer and smoother ride through the station.
