The Greater Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) Community Immunity Bus at Asia Plaza
GCRTA in collaboration with the Cleveland Department of Public Health (CDPH), and Asian Services in Action (ASIA), are providing free Covid-19 vaccinations and Booster shots to the public on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
The RTA Community Immunity Bus will be parked on E. 30th St. near the Asia Plaza, 2999 Payne Avenue, Cleveland, OH. 44114, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Medical staff from ASIA’s International Community Health Center will be on the bus providing the Pfizer vaccinations and booster shots at no charge.
"To support the community during National Voter Registration Week, we are offering assistance with voter registration and an opportunity to get protection from COVID-19,” said Elaine Tso, CEO of ASIA. “Our future depends on the choices we make at the polls and for our health."
“$100 gift cards are being offered for primary doses, and $50 gift cards for boosters,” added Tso.
“This collaboration is a prime example of how health and human services can thrive when married with mobility and public transit," said GCRTA General Manager, Chief Executive Officer India Birdsong Terry. "We are excited to partner again with ASIA to bring this essential health resource to the community.”
The RTA Community Immunity Bus is made possible by ODOT funding in effort to make the Covid-19 vaccine accessible to multiple communities in the greater Cleveland area.
