RTA Board President, Mayor Dennis Clough’s Appointment to the Board of Trustees Expired 

Cleveland, OH – RTA Board President, Mayor Dennis Clough’s appointment to the Board of Trustees expired on March 3, 2021.  Mayor Clough announced at the RTA October Board meeting that he would not be seeking reappointment as a Board Trustee. 

Mayor Clough was appointed to the RTA Board of Trustees by the Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers in 1999. In a resolution presented to Mayor Clough at the March 3 meeting, board members described Clough as  "a strong advocate for public transit, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to local, regional and state collaboration in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for all.  He provided great diligence, insight and passion serving the citizens of Cuyahoga County."

During his twenty-one years as a Board Member, he served as Board Vice President from 2011-2018 and as Board President 2018-2021. 

The Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers has appointed Bay Village Mayor Paul Koomar as a replacement to the Board of Trustees.  He will be sworn in this week.
