COVID-19 RTA Update – Monday, June 8, 2020
RTA Employee Tests Positive
CLEVELAND, OH – The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is reporting that one staff member recently tested positive for COVID-19.
The employee is an operator based out of the Hayden District. The employee’s last day of work was Saturday, June 6. The employee tested positive on June 7.
Following RTA protocol, the bus the operator was driving was cleaned and also disinfected with the Moonbeam3, which uses ultraviolet technology for germicidal irradiation disinfection.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began, 14 RTA staff members have tested positive for the Coronavirus. Nine employees have fully recovered and have returned to RTA to assume their normal work duties.
