Downtown bus service begins to return to normal

Jul 21, 2016

CLEVELAND – Downtown bus service of the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) will be closer to normal with the start of service Friday, July 22.

The E-Line, HealthLine, 3, 22, 26, 45, 51 A-B-C and 81 will be on regular route.

The Cleveland State Line, 53F, 246, 251 and 263 will serve almost all regular stops downtown, including the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Transit Center.

However, routes which operate on Ontario, Prospect, St. Clair, Lakeside and E. 9th will have special new re-routes, because those streets will continue to be affected by activities related to the Republican National Convention.

The temporary Downtown west and east hub system used during the RNC will no longer be in effect.

All riders using Downtown bus service should check www.rideRTA for Service Alerts related to individual routes. Signs will be posted at all affected stops.

RTA expects to return to regular service by Sunday, July 24.
