The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) announces the reappointment of Mayor David E. Weiss to the GCRTA Board of Trustees. The reappointment follows the Board election held at the annual meeting on December 15, 2025.

Mayor David E. Weiss has served as Mayor of the City of Shaker Heights since April 2018.
He joined the GCRTA Board in March 2020, and continues to serve as Chair of the Audit, Safety Compliance and Real Estate Committee. Mayor Weiss also served as Chair of the Compensation Committee.
“GCRTA welcomes the reappointment of Mayor David E. Weiss to the GCRTA Board of Trustees,” said GCRTA General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, India L. Birdsong Terry. “We anticipate his contributions will continue to provide sound perspectives rooted in customer experience, as we work to strengthen the future of GCRTA.”
