 GCRTA Reappoints Eight Community Advisory Committee Members

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s (GCRTA) Board of Trustees voted unanimously the reappointment of eight members to the GCRTA Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and 6 of the 8 CAC members were sworn into service by Janet E. Burney, GCRTA Deputy General Manager of Legal Affairs during the December 16, 2025, Board Meeting inside GCRTA’s Main Office Building at 1240 W.6th Street, Cleveland, OH. 44113. 

The eight CAC members whose terms have expired and now have been reappointed to serve for terms of two years are: 

•    Brooklyn Burmeister, Architectural Designer for the DLR Group.
•    Brian Gibbons, Current member of Clevelanders for Public Transit and Northern Ohioans for Budget Legislation.
•    Alicia Howerton, Manager of External and Government Relations at Cleveland Sight Center.
•    Charles Kennick, City of Cleveland employee.
•    Loh, Member of Northern Ohioans for Budget Legislation, Alcohol, Drug Addiction & Mental Health Issues (ADAMHS) Board of Cuyahoga County Action Committee, and Clevelanders for Public Transit.
•    Paul Meissner, Financial Controller for the Realife Real Estate Group/HSK Management.
•    Jonathan Sieck, Serves on the board of directors for Neighborhood Family Practice and is a member of the South of Lorain Block Club.
•    Cole Ware, Serves as an Associate for Results for America, and is a member of the Cleveland Heights Transportation and Environmental Sustainability Committee.

“I greatly appreciate the dedication, experience, and value these CAC members bring to the community and GCRTA,” said CAC Board Liaison Anastasia Elder. “Their continued service strengthens the connection between GCRTA and the communities we serve.”

The CAC’s mission is to serve GCRTA’s Board of Trustees, management, staff, users, and general public by communicating our transportation projects and services to the community, and in turn, provide feedback on those projects and services to us from individuals residing in the communities served by GCRTA. 

“I am thankful for the return of these eight members who volunteer their time and expertise to serve on GCRTA’s Community Advisory Committee,” said GCRTA General Manager and Chief Executive Officer India L. Birdsong Terry.  “The formation of the CAC ensures that the diverse voices of our community are heard.”
