Jan 22, 2024

Cleveland, OH -- Railway Age Magazine is recognizing GCRTA Rail Equipment Manager, Mr. Casey Blaze, as being selected as one of their "Fast Trackers" award honorable mentions for 2024.

Established in 2016, the annual "Fast Trackers" awards are presented to 25 railroaders under the age of 40 in the United States, Canada and/or Mexico for making an impact in their respective fields or within their company.

This year’s honorees were selected from freight and passenger railroads; government entities; and the supplier, contractor, and consultant communities. Nominees were required to be under 40 as of January 1, 2024, and were judged on criteria that included industry experience and education, leadership skills, industry contributions, and community service involvement.

The awards program judge was Michigan State Center for Railway Research & Education Director, Nick Little, who selected the winning 25.

"I am very pleased and excited about Mr. Blaze being selected as one of Railway Age’s 2024 'Fast Trackers' 25 Under 40," said GCRTA General Manager and Chief Executive Officer Mrs. India L. Birdsong Terry. "He is a strong leader committed to delivering innovation and exceptional service to drive company success, and consistently inspires others to bring their best self to work every day."

All award winners will be featured in the February issue of Railway Age Magazine and recognized at a special luncheon as part of Railway Age’s Next-Generation Freight Rail Conference on March 12, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois.

A list of all the winners can be found on Railway Age’s website: https://www.railwayage.com/news/railway-ages-2024-fast-trackers-25-under-40-honorees/
