CLEVELAND -- The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) cheered for bus operator Vincent 'Vince' Walls, as he competed in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter runs in the National Senior Games.

Walls ran July 26-28 at Baldwin-Wallace University in the age 50-54 category.  He placed 10th in the finals for 1,500 meter run and placed 11th in the preliminaries for the 800 meter run for his age group, but did not place in the finals.

When Walls is not driving bus on the 16 route, he trains for many athletic events. He said he is encouraged by the many senior athletes who value their health and fitness, like he does.

On July 18, he was featured on cleveland.com as part of the Senior Games special section.
