Cleveland, OH – The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) is hosting a special Waterfront Line re-opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, September 8, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., at the Flats East Bank Rapid Station, 1198 W. 10th St., Cleveland, OH 44113.
The Waterfront Line is a key economic and entertainment access point, allowing RTA to connect the commercial and residential community during this 2023 Cleveland Browns regular football season and the Flats East Bank Entertainment District.
Over the last two years, significant improvements have been made to stabilize the Waterfront Line Bridge, enabling RTA to re-open the line for every regular season home game at Cleveland Browns Stadium, starting September 10, 2023. RTA will continue to perform various upgrades on days while trains are not running.
GCRTA was formed in 1975 with the mission of providing public transit services to the 59 communities and 1.2 million residents of Cuyahoga County. As the largest public transit agency in the State of Ohio, GCRTA’s service options include bus, BRT, trolley, paratransit and three rail lines. GCRTA makes connections that empower individuals, neighborhoods, and communities to rise.
