August 2026 Service Reductions and Adjustments
As a result of public hearings held in April of 2026, effective August 16, 2026, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) is implementing official service adjustments and reductions. These updates are part of an ongoing effort to optimize scheduling, improve system reliability, and align service levels with current operational resource availability.
Please review the finalized changes below to see how your routes may be affected:
Route Discontinuations & Service Suspensions
B-Line Trolley: Service is discontinued.
Waterfront Line: Regular scheduled service is suspended. The Waterfront Line will operate for special events only.
Weekday Frequency Reductions
#78: West 117th - Puritas: Weekday frequency will change from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes.
#86: Rocky River Dr. - Bagley: Weekday frequency will change from every 30 minutes to every 60 minutes.
Weekend Frequency Reductions
#3: Superior: Weekend frequency will change from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes.
#10: East 105 - Lakeshore: Weekend frequency will change from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes.
Important Notes and Exceptions
#19-19A-19B: Broadway: The previously proposed discontinuation of the #19B will not take place. Fargo will continue to be served by selected #19B trips, which will start or end at Tri-C East. Service times will remain similar to current schedules.
#77: Brecksville: The proposed realignment for the #77 will not take effect with the August 2026 service change, as the surrounding roadway network has not yet fully reopened to accommodate the new route. The #77 will continue to operate on its current route for the time being.
Plan Your Trip: New timetables and schedule brochures are available now. Passengers are encouraged to check updated schedules online or via the Transit app prior to the August 16, 2026 service change to plan commutes accordingly.
