Holiday To-Do List

Dec 20, 2018

There is always something happening in Cleveland, especially during the holiday season! There are opportunities for holiday fun everywhere, especially by participating in one of the many runs throughout the city or simply strolling through downtown to check out the holiday decorations. Some of the best displays are on Public Square, including the iconic Christmas Story holiday display in the JACK Casino windows. Don’t forget about the standard winter sporting events: Browns games, Cavs games, and of course Monsters hockey! Make sure to check out the winter fun at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, or head down to University Circle to visit museums and experience some of their fun holiday traditions, including the ice skating rink on Wade Oval. This is all easily accessible on RTA!

There are many other unique holiday themed events throughout the city.

If the holiday themed scene is not your thing, the Cleveland Museum of Art hosts exhibits showcasing Georgia O'Keeffe and Catherine de Medici's Valois tapestries. For those of you Harry Potter lovers, Potted Potter will be shown at the Market Square at Crocker Park.

This time of year parking is especially challenging, not to mention the traffic! We suggest that you use RTA and maybe even consider using Lyft or Uber to get you to and from stations or stops as a first mile-last mile solution. If you decide to celebrate the season with a couple of drinks while you're out at one of the many holiday pop-up bars around town, no worries! Planning your trip is easy, visit riderta.com and use the trip planner for route suggestions. Don’t forget to download the convenient RTA mobile app, RTA CLE! The app makes it easy for you to purchase your tickets on your smartphone, and you don’t have to worry about losing your fare while you’re out and about! RTA wants everyone to have a safe and enjoyable holiday season!
