Take RTA to your Vaccination Appointments

Mar 11, 2021

For many Ohioans COVID-19 has been crippling. For the past year, we have all been quarantining, masking up and social distancing. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel! With three vaccinations now available, GCRTA wants to help get you to your appointment. To check your eligibility and register for your shot, visit the Ohio Department of Health website.

Thanks to a grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s (ODOT) "Rides to Community Immunity" program, GCRTA is able to provide free All Day passes between March 17 and May 8!  Cuyahoga County and the City of Cleveland will be distributing the Free All Day passes through hundreds of social service agencies and community centers.  RTA will not be distributing passes. For information on obtaining a free pass to a vaccination center, contact the United Way’s 211 line or visit the Cuyahoga County website.

The grant is also making it possible for GCRTA to provide free shuttle service to/from the five parking lots south of the Wolstein Center. The Ohio National Guard is overseeing the parking services and the GCRTA shuttles will operate every 15 minutes.

Greater Cleveland RTA is proud to support the vaccination efforts with over 50 bus routes, three rail lines and an ADA qualifying Paratransit service that can take passengers to appointments.  Additionally, we have ample service to the Wolstein Center, which will offer vaccinations seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Are you interested in seeing all vaccination sites in the county?  If so, check out the maps below to see how many bus routes or rail lines connect you to vaccination sites throughout the county. We encourage passengers to utilize our trip planner to plan their vaccination trip.  Also, to see all vaccination locations, check out this map from Cuyahoga County.

For our ADA Passengers, you can schedule a trip on Paratransit by calling the reservation line.  ODOT’s "Rides to Community Immunity Program" will also help fund free paratransit services.  NOTE: Only existing Paratransit passengers are eligible for the free rides. To obtain a free paratransit ride, Paratransit passengers must schedule their vaccination between March 17 and May 8.
