RTA Main Office Building, Customer Service Center to Close Jan. 20, 2021

Jan 19, 2021

Some buses to be re-routed beginning at 2:30 a.m.

Cleveland, OH – Out of an abundance of caution, many buildings in the downtown area will be closed in response to the potential of social unrest leading up to and on Inauguration Day on January 20, 2021. We are closely monitoring these safety and security situations through our Transit Police team and local, state and federal authorities.

We have not received any credible threats from local, state and federal authorities at this time.

The Main Office Building will be closed on January 20, 2021. Employees are being relocated to other locations or are working remotely on this day. Any customers or visitors with business at the main office are being asked to reschedule their visit for another day.

In addition, the Telephone Information Center will be closed tomorrow, as well as the Tower City Customer Service Center.  Tickets can be purchased at the ticket vending machines located near the rail platforms in the Tower City Rotunda, at any of RTA's rail stations, through vendors located across the county, or with RTA's Mobile Ticketing App.

Some buses will be re-routed from 2:30 a.m. until midnight, as well. Details are here.
