Late-night trolley service extended to Flats East Bank

Headed for Flats East Bank this summer? Just hop on the C-Line trolley. It’s free with a smile.

RTA will offer a new service seven days a week beginning Friday, May 26, just as summer kicks in. Other summer service changes begin Sunday, June 4, but the trolley service starts earlier, to help riders enjoy the Memorial Day weekend.

This station is also known as West 65th - Eco Village, because of a unique development nearby. The station can be reached by an walkway over the train tracks to nearby housing on Madison Avenue. The rail platform can be accessed from either the headhouse or a stairway on Madison Avenue.

Several slow zones eliminated in major Red Line track work

Several slow zones between West 98th and West 25th Street will be eliminated, after RTA completes a $6.8 million track upgrade this month. Speed restrictions in this area will be removed and track speeds will be increased.

On Monday, January 12, Operator Semira was driving her Cleveland State Line bus westbound on Route 2 when she witnessed a motor vehicle accident.  The vehicle was overturned and the driver was trapped inside with his arm extended out of the window. Operator Semira immediately pulled her bus over to assist the motorist. She called GCRTA's Control Center to alert them of the situation and stated that she would stay with the motorist until help arrived.
