April 13: Ride EarthFest free shuttle from Brookpark Station

Apr 4, 2014

CLEVELAND -- Ride the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) to EarthFest, Ohio’s largest environmental education event. Your Red Line pass gets you a free shuttle ride from Brookpark Station to EarthFest 2014 at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea.

This event will be held from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. The RTA display will feature the "Ride Together" bus, shown above.

The most sustainable daily and personal act is to utilize transit. How do you do it on RTA?

Park for free, pay your fare, and ride the Red Line to Brookpark Rapid Station. Transfer to the free shuttle – provided by EarthFest -- for the short trip to the Fairgrounds.

Reminder: Shuttle buses replace all East Side rail service this weekend, so you can ride a bus to Tower City, and then ride the Red Line to Brookpark.

EarthFest 2014 celebrates the “Year of Zero Waste,” with more than 250 exhibits to explore and learn about reducing waste. Families can enjoy eco-activities, music and petting zoos. EarthFest is the longest running Earth Day event in the nation.

Admission is $4 for ages 2-11 and $8 for persons age 12 and older.

For more EarthFest information, call 216-281-6468.
