Oct. 5-6: RTA adds service for Indians Playoff Series

Oct 3, 2017

CLEVELAND -  The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is celebrating the Indians this playoff season by extending service on all rail lines and selling a special $5 cash, round-trip ticket for the playoff series.

RTA offers late-night service on the Red, Blue and Green Line that’s guaranteed for 60 minutes after each game ends. Additional rail cars will be added, as needed, to accommodate the anticipated sell-out crowds.

Cavalier’s fans are also expected to take advantage of RTA’s extra services for Friday’s 7:20 p.m. game.

Fans can avoid the high cost of parking and Downtown traffic by purchasing an All-Day Pass on RTA’s mobile ticketing app for the most convenient access to RTA.

A special $5 cash, round-trip ticket will be available at the following stations:

  • Brookpark
  • Puritas
  • Triskett
  • Tower City Light Rail platform
  • Louis Stokes/Windermere

To reach Progressive Field or the Q:

  • Ride any Rapid to Tower City, and use the Walkway or outside access to reach Progressive Field or the Q.
  • Because of events and activities Downtown and at the Plaza, the Walkway will be open beginning at 8 a.m. for both playoff games. The same service will be in place for the potential Oct. 11 game in Cleveland.
