Upgraded ticket machines now available to customers

Apr 11, 2013

CLEVELAND -- Upgraded ticket vending machines for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) are now in service.

After rave reviews from customers over a six-week pilot program, the 'new and improved' software was rolled out to 124 machines over the past 10 days.

A better experience

This includes all the units at Tower City, and at Red Line and HealthLine stations.

RTA is pleased to offer its customers a better experience using the machines now --one that was always intended, but not delivered, by the vendor.

RTA was not satisfied with the customer interface of the unit when they were installed and has withheld payments while working with Xerox on ways to make the machines more customer-friendly.

Tower City Customer Service

Remember, these machines are provided in addition to customer service at the Tower City Rapid Station. If you prefer personal interaction, customer service agents and other RTA staff are available.
