From Wednesday, October 7 - Monday, October 12, 2026, #66R buses will replace Red Line service between Tower City and East 55 Street stations. Additionally, during that time period, #67R and #68R buses will replace Blue and Green Line rail service between Tower City station and the end of both lines due to planned GCRTA engineering projects in that area.
#66R, #67R, and #68R buses do not stop at the Tri-C-Campus District station. Riders wishing to access this station can use the #15 Union-Harvard or #19/19A/19B – Broadway bus lines. The Tower City stop is located on West Prospect at W. 3 St. Orange #66R, #67R, and #68R bus stop signs designate boarding locations.
Red Line trains will operate between Louis Stokes - Windermere and E 55 stations and between Tower City and Airport stations.
#66R buses will operate at the same hours and frequency as the Red Line train. #67R and #68R buses will each operate on a 30-minute frequency during this shutdown.
Regular Red and Blue Line schedules will resume with the start of service on Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
